Property Investing

We are slowly building our portfolio one strategic investment at a time.

How do we do this? Each year there are hundreds of thousands of homes foreclosed on in the United States, and that number is expected to increase dramatically over the next few years. When foreclosures occur as a result of a failure to pay the required taxes, a tax lien foreclosure occurs. These properties are often sold at auction to collect the required taxes.

Depending on the state’s tax lien foreclosure proceedings, the original owner may be provided with an opportunity to recover the property by paying the lien and any other additional fees. This is known as a redemption period, which can last up to approximately three years based on the respective state's laws. Once the redemption period has ended the investor is allotted an opportunity to obtain the property.

At Essex & Taylor Holdings, each property that we invest in is carefully researched. We focus on a property’s current value, risks, and future revenue or interest-bearing potential.
